Service to Others

The Bible says we are to give not only 1/10th of our finances but 1/10th of our time and talents to God. Immanuel supports a variety of opportunities to help and serve others.

Real Life Children's Ranch
Serves children who have been removed from their homes. Located in Okeechobee, Florida, this organization cares for children by utilizing a group home atmosphere. Regularly we collect items to make their lives more enjoyable.

Habitat for Humanity
Builds homes for the underprivileged. We are currently developing a partnership with other churches to build a home in Martin County.

The Deborah Circle puts together layettes for indigent mothers who leave the hospital with newborns.

Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
We share a percentage of what we are given with the Florida/Bahamas Synod, who then shares a percentage with the national church. Traditionally called, "Benevolence," we are growing every year in our giving beyond ourselves. Through the ELCA, we support Lutheran colleges, seminaries, social service institutions, and missionaries around the globe.

Guatemala Evangelical Ministries
We have a close, working relationship with a mission camp in Paramos, Guatemala. Many of our members sponsor children through the mission, as well as helping with their education and physical needs. We are currently working with other churches across the country to open a Christian School near the camp.

Good Samaritan Home for Boys
We give regular support to this mission to help guide boys into manhood.
